realbench.net -- The National Association of Realtors reported that home sales is up for the fifth month in a row. This is the first consecutive gain on a monthly basis since 2003, and the most substantiated good news about real estate in years.

This consecutive gain is being interpreted by many in the real estate business as the confirmation needed to demarcate the beginning of the housing bottom. It would not be surprising if in coming months we start hearing highly respected individuals calling a bottom publicly.

This is a game changer for real estate investors, who now can even start considering real estate investment strategies other than buy-rent-hold; investment strategies such as flipping could potentially be part of a real estate portfolio. Although yet premature to get fully engaged in that type of strategy, investors could peripherally and cautiously start considering them.

Additionally real estate investors should pay very close attention to other upcoming financial and economy-related news to ensure other areas of the economy are conjunctly getting better. Areas such as stock market indexes, unemployment numbers and large companys financial reports should all be considered before start investing in real estate at full speed.

Although caution should always be exercised, the horizon looks promising for anyone in the real estate business; and eventually this should translate to profits. Therefore rejoice.
